Title: How can a robot mean? (tentative)

Abstract: Dr. Zlatev is addressing the philosophical question: Can
a machine mean? --- his answer will be positive. He
will outline a research program "Epigenetic Robotics,"
which attempts to achieve "a machine that has
intentionality
and self-consciousness" by following the cognitive and
linguistic development of infants.
Dr. Zlatev is Research Fellow at Lund University, Sweden,
and currently working on "First Language Acquisition of
Thai" at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
